
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. br. sugar
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 can fruit
- 1/2 cup crushed walnuts
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. water or juice
Instructions
Step 1
Brown sugar + butter in skillet & let simmer till smooth - add drained fruit & 1/2 cup crushed walnuts.
Step 2
Sift flour, measure, add baking powder, sift again.
Step 3
Beat whites stiff - Fold in sugar then beaten yolks + juice - flour added lightly.
