Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 t. baking powder
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 t. vanilla
- 1 egg white
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Instructions
Step 1
Sift together flour, salt, & baking powder.
Step 2
Work shortening with spoon until creamy.
Step 3
Add sugar and continue working mixture until light.
Step 4
Add eggs & vanilla, and then flour mixture.
Step 5
Mix well.
Step 6
Spread in greased 10" x 10" or 8" x 12" pan.
