Cheese Grits

Ingredients

  • 5 1/2, 2 3/4, 1 7/8 C. milk or Half & half
  • garlic to taste - go lightly
  • 1 1/3, 2/3, 1/3 C. grits
  • 16, 8, 4 ounces strong cheddar cheese

Instructions

Step 1
Heat milk & garlic to scalding. Reduce to simmer.
Step 2
With wood spoon, slowly stir in grits. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly to smooth (10-15 min.).
Step 3
Remove from heat. Stir in cheese.
