- bacon fat or oil
- 4 potatoes - cut up
- 4 onions - quartered
- 4-6 carrots - sliced
- canned mushrooms, if wanted
- Celery (if you wish)
- 4 beef bouillon cubes
- 4 cups water
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. Celery salt
