
Ingredients
- 3 T olive oil
- 1/2 stalk celery chopped
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 T parsley
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 large can Italian tomatoes
- 1 med. can tomato paste
- salt
- pepper
- 1 basil leaf minced
- 1 t oregano
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
Step 1
Place olive oil, celery, onion, parsley and garlic in pan and brown lightly.
Step 2
Add tomatoes and tomato paste, and simmer 45 min.
Step 3
Add basil, oregano, and bay leaf.
Step 4
Cook 10 min. more.
Step 5
Makes sufficient sauce for 1 lb. spaghetti.
