Place about 1 1/2 - 2 inches water in pot large enough to hold lobsters, cover and bring to a boil.

Gently drop live lobster into water, head-first.

Cover, return to boil, turn to a simmer and time according to table below.

Note: You can cook lobsters of varying sizes in the same pot by staggering their placement into the boiling water. Put largest in first.
