
Ingredients
- 1 T. butter or oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 c. long grain rice
- 1/2 t. dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 1/2 c. broth or stock
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Cook butter & onion until onion has wilted.
Step 2
Add remaining ingredients. Stir well.
Step 3
Bring to a boil, reduce heat & simmer, covered 18-20 minutes or until rice is done.
Step 4
Remove bay leaf.
Step 5
Fluff with a fork.
